BFA Feature Series - Behind the Van - Roxy the Renault

This is the first blog in a series of “Behind the Van” features, bringing the owners of our van conversions to the forefront and showing you the vans in “real life”.

Roxy is a MWB Renault Master with storage galore. Features include deep rear storage drawers with removable dividers, a hanging rail, fold down kitchen bench, additional framed windows, a comprehensive electrical system including 240, Built for Advanture window covers all around in a fun cactus print (colour code Joshua Jade if you want to order a set ;)), Sirocco fans, chest fridge, 12v awning and custom fly screens.

What made you choose Built for Advanture?

Googled and found you, made an inquiry, you came back to us very quickly, and answered questions without a problem.  Also loved that you were a husband and wife combo working together really well.

How long had you been planning your build?

Approx 6 months, as we had to find a van that we liked as well as the price range. Then, thinking about our design of what we wanted. By owning an older camper, we knew the basics of what worked and didn't work, and other things we wanted - particularly lots of storage. Never have enough.

How did you find the design and build process with us?

Easy, you answered any questions we had, which were many. Working on our design and your suggestions to improve this, was awesome. From your customer service, to the building of the van, we are always so eager to show off our van, and everyone is always impressed. Things like the grain in the wood matching, your eye for detail, all of your finishing touches. We cannot recommend you highly enough, and if/when we decide to upgrade, we know we will come back to you both.

What’s your favourite feature in your van?

Opening the door and still getting excited about what we have. Absolutely everything. From, even when we are just planning a getaway, knowing that it is easy to pack our clothes, as there is never an issue with storage.  This is particularly so with the overhead cupboards, that we have boxes in,  that we take to our apartment, fill and just carry back down to Roxy ready to go. Also the hanging clothes space  - we love it.  Our loooooong drawers under the bed, as we love to cook on the road, this gives us so many choices for meals, as we have so much storage for cooking. Our BIG fridge - food and drinks - love it. Sorry, can't list just one feature - we love it all.

What has been your favourite trip in your van so far?

HARD QUESTION. Sorry, I can't list only one. Any time we get in Roxy to go away is awesome.

Last year we went to Bluesfest at Easter. Then to Tamworth Country Music Festival (yes it had changed dates due to COVID) then camped for a week at Wangandary just out of Wangaratta for a well earned rest before going back to the real world of work. Our most favourite spot to camp is on a friend's farm at Tallangatta. Peaceful, beautiful and  a hidden gem.

We so hope you enjoyed ready their responses to our questions as much as we did. We LOVE hearing about our clients adventures. If you ever decide to become a client of ours, we look forward to hearing about all yours!

Cheers,

Jesse & Sam
