STORMI THE SPRINTER
Stormi may have been inspired by Raven the Renault but she is a stand out in her own right.
It is a three berth van with a fixed east/west bed including insets for a full length of 1800mm and a dining area that converts to a single bed, perfect for lounging.
Cabin features include custom lightweight wall and ceiling panelling, smooth caramel coloured upholstery for the seating which houses storage within, brushed brass tapware and sink, an inset spice rack/shelf over the kitchen, soft closing drawers with half moon, self locking RV Labs latches, pull-out pantry drawer, 130L Bushman fridge, single burner induction cooker, Sirocco fan, gooseneck reading lights, dimmable LED lighting, overhead cabinets that run the full length of the cabin, Smart TV with 5G connectivity, Dometic air conditioner, our favourite MaxxFan Deluxe 12v vent, and a cabinet for the portable Thetford toilet which can be used as extra storage if the toilet doesn’t need to come along for the ride.
Being a MWB Mercedes Sprinter, it’s 200mm longer than a MWB Renault which has been used to extend the length of the kitchen, perfect for a pantry drawer.
There is also the under bed garage storage with large heavy duty drawer that extends out in its entirety, meaning you can always get to what’s in the back of the garage, a Gusto cleaning device, 80 litres of fresh and grey water, a flip up table at the side door and a few pockets of hidey-hole storage - because we always add these wherever we can fit them.
Outside you’ve got an external shower mounted on custom fabricated brackets to make the tent the optimal height, hot water via the 12v heater, Fiamma F45 awning with under awning lighting, a Front Runner roof rack system with Front Runner ladder secured on the rear.
The heart of any off-grid enabled build is the electrical system. Stormi has a 300AH Enerdrive Lithium battery, 40amp Enerdrive DCDC Charger, 40amp Enerdrive AC Charger, 2600-watt Enerdrive inverter, 240v power points, multiple USB and socket points, Simarine display and 200 watts of fixed solar as well as a foldable 160 watt portable panel.
As with all our builds, it has been completed with our signature three stage sound deadening and insulation, including trims finished with meticulously applied stretch carpet, a full set of BFA window covers, and it comes with all campervan certification required including electrical and engineering certificates, smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector and fire extinguisher.
She’s prepared to weather any storm.
