Kiki is a 1973 Kombi, built for show. We were honoured her owner chose us to give his iconic vehicle some updates.
We handcrafted two bespoke joinery units with Spotted Gum veneer. The kitchen cabinet featured a 50L Bushman fridge, matte black 42mm RV Labs handles and a small sink with folding tap that allows the benchtop to be flush when desired. There is another cabinet at the side door with further storage and a custom drawer for the induction cooker. All topped with Strating and Son hardwood benchtops with satin finish.
Hidden away is the neat electrical system, complete with 240 electrical. Within the seat style cabinet and behind the drawers you’ll find 200AH of lithium, a 2000 watt inverter, both AC and DC chargers and all fuses, cables etc. To keep the Kombi’s classic exterior pristine, both the water inlet and the 240v charging point have been concealed in some sneaky (yet compliant!) locations ;).
Working in this tight space around the rock and roll bed was no small feat but we love to do a bit of lateral thinking around here.
